Regional Complex Pain Syndrome:
Also called RSD or Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy can be extremely difficult to treat and persistent. Peripheral measures, massage, acupuncture, all have shown limited efficiency. Pain itself may be excruciating and unremitting.
Neurofeedback generically has shown some promise in mediating the “central processing issues of such problems. The LENS also, works on those parts of the problem that are probably lodged in the sensory-motor cortex of the brain. There is some promise of combined treatments with such things as photonic stimulation, micro-current therapies, or acupuncture or massage, as well as nutraceuticals like SAM-e.
This disorder will probably require a longer course of treatment depending upon its severity and chronicity.
